DUE TO COVID, OUR OFFICE HOURS HAVE CHANGED. CALL US TODAY AT 214-377-8881 TO LEARN MORE!
While dental crowns are traditionally considered restorative dentistry, the high quality porcelain dental crowns available from Dental Care Today of Richardson blur the line between cosmetic and restorative care. In addition to repairing damage with these natural looking dental crowns, we can conceal cosmetic flaws, reshape the smile line, and completely perfect even the most advanced cosmetic concerns. Because of the necessary removal of healthy tooth structure prior to dental crown placement, we do not typically encourage patients to use porcelain crowns for more than a few teeth in a smile makeover plan. However, for cosmetic concerns too advanced for treatment with the more conservative porcelain veneers or Lumineers, this may be the best option. The treatment is completed over the course of two appointments. During the initial visit, we prepare teeth, capture impressions for our lab, and place a temporary crown. This appointment can take one or more hours depending on the number of teeth to be crowned. Once we receive the final restoration from our lab, you’ll return for a final shorter appointment to exchange the temporary for your flawless, custom dental crown.
